Nikoi is a 15 hectare island 8km off the east coast of Bintan, Indonesia. Located less than 85km from Singapore, travelling time from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal is approximately two and a half hours inclusive of Sea and Land transfer.

Long regarded as one of the most stunning islands on this relatively unspoilt coast, Nikoi is fortunate to have remained in pristine condition. It is ringed with white sandy beaches and coral reefs of spectacular colour and diversity and a coastline studded with magnificent white granite boulders that seemingly defy gravity . Rising to a height of 60m, the island also boasts a rain forest where colossal trees, including native Banyan trees, provide a sanctuary to a diverse population of local birds.

Work has recently commenced on Nikoi to sensitively develop it into a unique and excursive holiday destination. All construction will be limited to a small section of the island in order to minimize any impact on the environment and maintain a high level of seclusion and privacy for guests. We are building 15 beach houses all with direct access to the beach. The first 6 houses have been completed and will provide "simple barefoot luxury" at its best.

The design of the beach houses reflects both traditional Indonesian architecture and contemporary form. Using driftwood, locally available plantation timber and alang alang roofing to blend into the environment, each pavilion will incorporate a modern ensuite bathroom.

The beach houses will incorporate a unique double layered roof designed to promote natural ventilation. This cooling system will be enhanced by the use of overhead fans and the sitting of each pavilion on the beachfront. Natural ocean breezes will be harnessed and the unique cooling effect of the land mass will provide a working example of "nature's aircond."

Activities available to guests includes relaxation, sailing, snorkeling, massage, nature discovery, a wide range of non-motorised water sports and island hopping. Plans are afoot to offer "theme" weeks to cater for mid week guests and corporate groups. These programmes will provide an intensive introduction to activities such as Yoga, Fitness, Nature Discovery, Cooking, Sculpture and Painting, using professional instruction from Singapore and beyond.

Spacious marble clad bathrooms with walk-in showers and bathtubs to enjoy spectacular views. Deluxe and Superior rooms share the same style, while offering different locations. Deluxe Rooms are situated in the Main Atrium. Superior Rooms are found in the Lagoon and Waterfall Wings. Superior Rooms feature complimentary mini bar stocked with soft drinks and water. Both Deluxe and Superior Rooms are a spacious 60 square metres.

The first phase of the development of Nikoi is complete with 6 houses (one, two and three bedrooms) now completed.

Accommodation on Nikoi will be limited to 15 beach front two storey beach houses. Privacy will be guaranteed with all accommodation generously space out over a 5 hectare site on the western side of the island. The remaining 10 hectares will be reserved as a sanctuary to ensure that the environment impact is minimal and that there are plenty of secluded and tranquil places to explore.
